900 Biscayne Bay is perhaps my second or third favorite building in Downtown / Brickell area behind Icon Brickell and EPIC Miami Residences (depending on which day you ask me). 900 Biscayne Bay was developed by Terra Group which also built Quantum on the Bay prior to 900 Biscayne Bay. While Quantum on the Bay is more of a mid-range building, 900 Biscayne Bay competes with the luxury range of building in Downtown Miami. I love this project for a few reasons. The project sits directly on Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami across from the new Museum Park (formerly Bicentenial Park) and nearby to the American Airlines Arena and Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The construction was completed in 2009 and the building consists of a mix of large one-bedrooms up to four bedroom tower units, townhomes and penthouses. The building also has commercial office condo spaces within. At the ground floor is retail spaces currently occupied by a Brazilian Restaurant and Miss Yip Chinese Restaurant. One of the fabulous features of 900 Biscayne Bay is that in the large 2-bedroom units and larger floorplans the units come with completely private elevators. This is a nice feature which is lacking in even some of the comparable buildings on the level of 900 Biscayne Bay. The views are astonishing as well as you go higher in the tower. Most units in the building have an East view which would be looking over the port-of-Miami to Biscayne Bay and with South Beach in the distance.
